  • Peripheral photographs are made by rotating a (generally) round subject on a turntable and then scanning it using a rotating-scanning camera.
    The one used here is the Spherocam, which is also used to make 360˚x180˚ photographs in one continuous process.
    The result is to 'unwrap' the object or person, and allow the entire surface to be studied at once.
